Sjoldo March 1, 2010 at 9:31 am

love the way te commercial use a huge cleaning shit to make it look so hard

RandomConcepts March 1, 2010 at 9:31 am

They make it seem like the thing runs silently, but it’s really around 70dB.

garycalgary March 1, 2010 at 9:31 am

wow

i also saw a kitty potty or for small dogs where after the animal is done the remnants of their dinner are sent to a box and all you have to do is empty the bag

crazyfvck March 1, 2010 at 9:31 am

It would be cool if they made one that automatically emptied it’s dirt container into a special bin. But maybe that’s just the lazy person in me speaking :P Otherwise they are a cool idea. I plan on picking up a refurbed unit to test how well they work.

TiGeRiSpWnAgE March 1, 2010 at 9:31 am

@heraklen And since the one they sent back to me did the same thing. Then i assume that at least 75% of these things will fall off stairs.

heraklen March 1, 2010 at 9:31 am

So because your roomba had a “defect” you automatically assumes 100% of the roombas in the world have the same?

TiGeRiSpWnAgE March 1, 2010 at 9:31 am

@heraklen …i saw it happen…you know, there’s this thing called a defect, which is basically what happened to mine, i actually saw pause at my stairs, then continue, slowly, until it gradually tipped over and fell down 22 steps…In a circle

heraklen March 1, 2010 at 9:31 am

It works on any floor , however if you have many throw rugs its not going to go well since the sidebrush often get stuck under the rug so robot avoids the rug completely.

heraklen March 1, 2010 at 9:31 am

@TiGeRiSpWnAgE – total bull , roomba detects stairs and dont fall down , I know since i have had a roomba for 2 years.
However the detect mecanism also avoids black-rugs since it belives its a stair/level diffrence.

TiGeRiSpWnAgE March 1, 2010 at 9:31 am

@superblynoah I had the Roomba 530, it really sucked :P

superblynoah March 1, 2010 at 9:31 am

What model did you have? That really sucks.

TiGeRiSpWnAgE March 1, 2010 at 9:31 am

…Stair-sensing technology my ass, no seriously, i put something like this on my top floor once and it didn’t sense stairs for shit, it fell all the way to the bottom of like…20 steps and was in 5 pieces by the time it reached the bottom

superblynoah March 1, 2010 at 9:31 am

It has stair sensing technology.

TiGeRiSpWnAgE March 1, 2010 at 9:31 am

Rule number one when using something like this : Use it on the ground floor ONLY, unless you want it sitting at the bottom of your stairs completely disassembled :P

taltigolt March 1, 2010 at 9:31 am

i think that thing pays for itself

TheBrownChiLD March 1, 2010 at 9:31 am

wilsonsl500 March 1, 2010 at 9:31 am

HiltsuDYS19equals15 March 1, 2010 at 9:31 am

This is peace of shit! First warranty reapair was ok (cost me 40 euros), second one I thought I am helpfull and bought new battery. Now they claimed the warranty, because it had a new battery! Shit! Avoid this iRobot fucketi fuck company! If you want an excellent robot vacuum, spent a little bit more and buy Kärcsher!

clayprit March 1, 2010 at 9:31 am

these don’t work well. they go around randomly miss hundreds of spots, can’t see walls or stairs like it says, and are almost completely incapable of finding their dock to charge.
