This is a great book if you want your floor very oldschool. The book was published in 1989 and then all sorts of different types of flooring were not available. This book is designed to pin down for people who are their plans. Also economic, another point is the book a lot. The book is bound with plastic ring is (as you would expect from an old cookbook), and it seems that the pages were copied with a machine all the cheap copy. All images are hand-painted in black and white. There are some useful information, but is so outdated.

This is not a book that is a program of study. Badly illustrated with some details. Although this material is dated. I have absolutely no useful information from that.

The book is a manual with technical drawings and diagrams easily and effectively. Appears to be a reader who is familiar with the renovation and construction, are aligned. If you are a do-it-yourself is a great book for the conception and planning to fix the floors. It is also a good reference to see while the job well. This book is part of a series of two books, another book titled "The Art of Painting Hardwood Floors." While the book was also very good, the greater part of which included in "Mastering hardwood floors."
