I found a product to remove the old finish and never raise the grain so you can put a new finish or stain the wood and then put a new finish on. Its The Victorian House Wood Refinisher. Its on the web. I have used it on antiques for years because it won’t loosen glues or veneers. I order it on the web. They have products for wood and metal restoration made in Oklahoma. If you need to remove a finish it works so much easier than stripping. The products are all excellent. Dj

That’s amazing.

I’ve watched the process from the beginning until now and I’m green with envy. I’m just about to sand, stain and varnish some chairs but no way will I end up with anything like that.

Well done mate. Carpenters like you deserve every penny they get.
